I just got word that my new book, HOCKEY, EH? is starting to arrive in select Indigo and Chapters bookstores. This news was super-exciting to me! Even before I ever published any books, the image of a Chapters store was pasted on my vision board. At the time, seeing one of my books in an actual bookstore seemed like an outrageous and distant dream. But, dreams do come true! As soon as I heard this news, I rushed with my son into our local Chapters, found the sports section, glanced over all the hockey books I had been dreaming of having my book amongst, and then spied HOCKEY, EH?, there it was ... MY BOOK, right there on the shelf! Aaaaaaahhhhhhh, so fun!

I'm now working on having a book signing event at my local Indigo and look forward to seeing any local readers and friends at that - stay tuned! I also look forward to seeing all your fun selfies with HOCKEY, EH? when you see it in your local bookstore!

I followed up my in-person launch party for HOCKEY, EH? with a virtual launch for anyone not in the area or who missed Monday!  My amazing mom, Pat Beaven joined me in hosting, and we took questions, discussed the book, I read a bit, and other stuff!  If you missed it, you can check out the replay below:

This past Monday was launch day for my latest book, HOCKEY, EH? The book was released on Amazon and we celebrated with a party! It was amazing to have so many friendly faces from all different parts of my life all supporting me and excited for my new work ... fellow hockey parents, the women I play hockey with, close family and friends, and even my dancer (totally non-hockey) ladies! We had a great time eating, drinking, talking hockey, and talking about the book at The Bull Pub and Grill! Thanks to everyone who made it out to this fun evening!

After many many proof copies, my final books have arrived and I'm super-excited to get them out into the world and celebrate with everyone at my in-person (Monday) and online (Wednesday) launch parties next week!

AAAAAHHHHH!!!! I finally have an official launch date to share for my brand new book, Hockey, eh? True Confessions of a Midlife Rink Rat!  This book has been years in the making so I'm so super-excited to announce it will finally be out in the world this June 20, 2022! This book is all about how my Egyptian immigrant husband made me fall in love with hockey and in turn, my own Canadian-ness, becoming a sporty hockey mom of two boys as a formerly unsporty girly-girl, and eventually being drawn into playing hockey myself and finding the magic of women's recreational hockey. You can pre-order the e-book (and soon the paperback) at a discount currently on Amazon.  I am in the process of creating the audiobook and hope to have that out around launch date as well.  Now, I will get busy planning both an online and an in-person (G.T.A. area) book launch for the week of June 20th! I used to love collecting and reading all the books... I have the full bookshelves to prove it... that is, until I had kids. Being a busy working mom, I just can't find the time (or quiet) to sit down and read an actual book. Over the years, I have become a total audio book and podcast addict, finding myself in a different world of someone else's book when I do groceries, workout, drive, cook or clean! I listen to stories, learn how to do things, listen to interviews, and get inspired all through my phone and airpods. So, I am super-excited to announce that I have found an awesome narrator and we will be releasing an audio book version of my book, Loving Yourself Fit by February!  I will also be re-starting my Loving Yourself Fit Podcast in February and I've already booked many inspiring and interesting guests.
